Angular Advanced Enterprise Architecture

Structure a growing Angular application so that ten developers can work on it without stepping on each other’s toes.

Is this training right for your team?

Who it’s for

  • Experienced Angular developers and tech leads
  • Teams whose application has grown faster than its structure
  • Teams planning a monorepo or a migration to Nx

Afterwards your team can

  • Cut an application into libraries with clear boundaries and dependency rules
  • Decide where state belongs and implement it with NgRx or the Signal Store
  • Build typed, validated forms for complex business cases
  • Set up an Nx workspace with affected builds, linting and tests

Prerequisites

  • At least one year of practical Angular experience
  • Familiarity with RxJS basics and the Angular CLI
  • Ideally: access to your own code base to discuss real examples

Most Angular applications don’t fail because of Angular – they fail because of structure: everything in one module, state spread over components, forms that nobody dares to touch. This workshop gives your team the patterns to fix that: component communication, standalone components, advanced forms, testing, state management with NgRx, libraries and Nx workspaces.

The last block is reserved for your project: bring your questions and your code, and we work through them together. Teams usually leave with a concrete plan for the next refactoring steps.

Agenda

The order and the depth of each block are adapted to your team – topics you already master are skipped, your questions get the time instead.

  1. Component Communication

    • Discover input/output properties for effective parent-child component interaction.
    • Utilize the EventEmitter class to emit and subscribe to custom events.
  2. Standalone Components

    • Create features to manage shared services and dependencies efficiently.
    • Implement lazy loading techniques to optimize resource utilization.
  3. Advanced Forms with Cross Field Validation

    • Explore advanced form creation using template-driven and reactive forms.
    • Implement custom validators to ensure data integrity.
    • Learn cross-field validation techniques for complex form scenarios.
  4. Testing

    • Master testing methodologies using Vitest for comprehensive unit testing.
    • Employ Playwright for end-to-end testing of Angular applications.
  5. State Management with NgRx

    • Implement efficient state management using the principles of NgRx.
    • Gain expertise in actions, reducers, effects, and selectors for scalable architecture.
  6. Working with Libraries and Nx

    • Create and publish reusable libraries using the Angular Package Format (APF).
    • Maximize code reusability and maintainability across multiple projects.
  7. Nx Workspaces

    • Explore the advantages of Nx workspaces for managing multiple projects within a single workspace.
    • Leverage advanced capabilities like code generation, linting, testing and module boundaries.
  8. Customized Questions for Your Project

    • Receive personalized guidance and tailored solutions for your specific project challenges.
    • Overcome obstacles and achieve success with expert support.
